Now that I’ve left my day job, I am returning to blogging.
Last time it was a short-lived adventure. I got out three BusinessWeek columns (part one, part two and part three) describing my experiences and decision to do my MBA at London Business School. I abandoned the project about the same time I joined Accel, much to the chagrin of my BusinessWeek editor. In my defense, I had no idea I was going to join a world-class venture firm before I graduated from business school.
I’m back at it again. This time I hope to last longer than three postings.
The goal of this blog will be to write about entrepreneurship, financial markets and early stage risk capital in Europe, the latter an area where Europe continues to lag behind the United States (and the West Coast in particular). I see a lot of positive movement in the European startup scene and I’m sure we’ll get there over time.
The blog’s title, as my old classmates may remember, refers to the nickname the Associate Dean gave me the second month into business school. Let’s just say I was too outspoken and a bit of a handful for the administration. As they do, things worked out, and the school now has me on their International Alumni Board. Sometimes it’s good to have opinions, as long as you can deliver on them.
